Amateur Radio "Fox Hunting" is another side of Amateur Radio where a hidden transmitter (or several) are hidden and the Hunters (Hounds) use directional antennas and radios to locate them, they can be either Mobile hunts or Pedestrain where they use portable sniffers to find thr Transmitter, this form of the hobby has a big following around the world "ARDF" a cross between a pedestrian hunt and orienteering, is big in Europe and the USA.

THis is one hobby that I like, we get together a couple of times a week with like minded people to make wooden boats, so far there have been in excess of over 60 kayaks and canoes that have been constructed at "Rays" workshop for the "Plywood Pirates" as long as you have grey hair you are welcome, seriously we have a great time building and helping each other, with regular outings and camps away, 'The Gorge and Iluka, two of the most popular, we have explored all the local creeks and waterways, there is some very good boat builders in our group.
If you have an interesting story about building boats, or some tips we would be glad to here from you.
